typical Glass August 9, 2008 Richard E. Mccauley I bought this because I love Glasses other soundtrack work, particularly "The Hours". This is typical of his sound I really like it. My only complaint is that the entire cd is very short.
a disappointing score by Philip Glass March 31, 2008 Jeremi Szaniawski (New Haven, CT) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Philip Glass's latest score is a relative disappointment. It resorts to strings to create typically brooding Glass soundscapes, but ultimately fails to deliver, even if it is all finely executed. The running time, too, feels a bit short.
music outstanding, label less than January 24, 2008 litefoot (CA, south) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Driving and powerful music that will not disappoint any Philip Glass aficionado. One reviewer referred to the music as "Vivaldian"--can't fathom that connection. What does disappoint is OMM's continuing quest to see how little music they can release on a CD at full price. This one clocks in at an entire 31 minutes.
