Album Description On their third studio album platinum rockers Trapt have not only returned to form but shattered expectations of what a rock disc can be. With Only Through The Pain, the Northern California-reared, L.A. based band returned to Co-Producer Gggarth Richardson's Vancouver studio to rekindle the magic that helped propel its 2002 eponymous debut past two million in sales. The end result is a disc that's as heartfelt and ingenious as it is diverse and seamlessly rewarding. From the riff-roaring, high energy anthem 'Wasteland' to the deeply moving finale 'The Last Tear', the eleven-song follow up to Trapt's 2005's gold-certified Someone In Control again finds front man, guitarist and principal songwriter Chris Taylor Brown going deep.

Better Than Ever! November 16, 2008 Rusty's Mom I can't get enough of this Trapt CD. If you liked their earlier stuff like Stories, Echo, and Made of Glass you'll love this CD. I use to love Trapt so much and then they went with a harder sound and I just lost interest in them. After hearing Who's Going Home With You Tonight on the radio and loving it I decided to give their newest CD a chance. I am so glad I did! This CD is all the best of their sound without the too hard edge. I think this is the perfect sound for them. I honestly love all of the songs but I particularly like Black Rose, Only One in Color, and The Last Tear.
Same band, different sound. October 4, 2008 C. Miller (Rochester, NY) I was so excited that Trapt was coming out with a new album full of new material. Their Live album was just an appetizer of what I thought would be a great album. (The 2 new songs on the Live album I loved.) Listening to Only Through The Pain I was pretty disappointed. A couple of the songs were heartfelt ballads which I expected but gone were the hard rock that gets the blood pumping that I came to expect from this band. They have gone the road of mainstream and seem to be trying to appeal to the masses instead of being true to who they really are or used to be. Gave it 3 stars on the hopes that as I listen to it more and more it will grow on me.
better than the last album September 23, 2008 Hans-Josef Mller This third album of trapt is better than their last album of 2005.All songs are great.I can hear this cd every day.
Lived up to my high expectations September 15, 2008 Joshua D. Meeker (Dayton, Oh) When i bought this the day it came out, i popped it into my car cd player and got hype the minute it came on. From the high energy somgs that are great to work out to to the emotional songs with catchy choruses and hooks that "Trapt" is known for, this album is top knotch. Dont let these haters fool you, if you liked their earlier stuff you will like this album. My only complaint is the number of songs on the album. 11 isnt enough for those of us hungry for as much new material as we can get! I highly recommend the song "Contagious," i think its the best song on the album and should also be released by the band as the next single. Check it out people, its well worth it.
I love Trapt! September 8, 2008 Jamie Jordan (Omaha Nebraska) Love the new album, I can never get enough of Chris' voice, and he is amazing on this album! Wanted a little more of the heavy rock but definately not dissapointed. Absoulutely love track 5!
