Excellent CD to relax or go to sleep by. August 22, 2007 Roses and Thorns 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this CD years ago after hearing it being played in a nature shop. The thunderstorms are wonderful! The best part is there is no music recorded with it. But the finishing touch is at the very end of the CD. You hear the sound of the rainfall starting to slow down and the faintest sound of little birds starting to sing after the rainfall stops...ZZZZZZZzzzzzzz
Providing some missing info for this CD. April 2, 2005 Rob K (somewhere between Los Angeles and New York City) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
THUNDERSTORM The Nature Recordings Reference Series CDN03 Nature Recordings Presents Volume III Thunderstorm (c)(p) 1989 Nature Recordings Program 1. The Storm 40:00 Program 2. Gentle Rain In The Forest 30:00 You place the logs in the open hearth and curl up in front of the fire. The sound of the storm is close by, as rain falls lightly on the forest floor just outside your cabin. Even the peals of distant thunder relax you. Perhaps late you will bake some bread, but for now everything is perfect as you pick up your unfinished novel, warmed by the fire, and safe from the storm. Recorded in the mountains of Big Sur, California, "Thunderstorm" is a dynamic, extended play recording in digital stereo that sounds so real you'll soon forget you are listening to a recording. Program 1 features the storm in full force, while Program 2 provides just soft falling rain. Either way, you are about to have a great sound experience.
