Rodney Visits Church, Shops for Caskets & Goes to Heaven
Amazon.com Rodney Carrington likes keepin' it rude, lewd, and crude. The raunchy Texan comedian's inner horny adolescent rages on and on in these fast-talkin' routines. This guy is fixated on sex and is particularly fond of talking about the male member. Carrington also manages to find time to humorously tell us just how he feels about marriage and kids, going to church, and shopping for caskets. There's plenty of shoutin' and an undercurrent of stylized irritation in these live performances recorded at clubs in Texas, North Carolina, and Indiana. A number of tracks feature Carrington strumming an acoustic guitar and singing songs that poke fun at, among other things, Latin lovers, grandpa, and The Artist Formerly known as Prince. The tune that best sums up Rodney's shtick is "Letter to My Penis," which appears on the album not once, but twice. Rodney and his Thing have their differences, but in the end, they work everything out. --Fred Cisterna
Customer Reviews:
Rodney CarringtonOctober 28, 2008 Kandy M. Crawford Side splitting hilarious! Dirty mouth, watch out kids. But funny as hell though! I laughed so hard I pulled a muscle in my back!
Not your average redneck comedianOctober 26, 2008 R. Galloway(Los Angeles, CA) This is one of Rodney's first albums - it has a charm and speed that has somewhat diminished over the years. The laughs are fast, the tone is honest and it's a refreshing change to the Blue Collar Group as far as Southern/Country comedy.
Funny as HellJanuary 11, 2008 M. Tsikuris(Lakeland, FL) This is soooooo funny. My husband has this memorized. If you want to laugh until you feel like you'll wet your pants then this is the CD for you. Laugh out loud funny.

This is Rodney's first CD and it is also one of his best. A mix between Chris Rock and Jeff Foxworthy, Carrington offers original and extremely funny material. He now has his own TV where some of his older material surfaces, but if overall a wonderful show and unlike his CD can entertain the entire family. If you like to laugh out loud then this CD is for you.

This Cd is awesome. Im a huge fan of redneck humor so it really appealed to me. After watching the premier of Rodney Carrington's new show on ABC I had to buy some of his comedy. Hangin with Rodney is by far one of the best comedy cds that I have every bought and I have a bunch of comedy albums!!! It's definitely a must Buy!
