Why isn't this woman more famous? December 30, 2000

She's got a hilarious website with Lacie Harmon (why doesn't SHE have her own album...) and appears on the video Out There In Hollywood with Scott Thompson. Her performance there is a riot and you can tell she's "on" and that the audience is having a great time. This disc contains some of that same material but loads more, so if you have seen her on video, it is still worth purchasing. Greenspan is insightful and quirky and has a sharp, smart wit. It is unfortunate that on this cd a lot of her ease and attitude doesn't come through. Despite the fact that the cd clearly didn't capture her in a magic performace (always a bummer as a cd captures that moment forever), it is fun and entertaining. It gets five stars because the content is worth it and because I am that enthusiastic about the cd. Lets hope she finds her way out of barely-known cds and into the stand-up stratosphere. And for those of you who are merely curious about another lesbian comic or have heard her music cd--buy this already, you will not be disappointed!
