Product Description Reckless Kelly is back on the rock n' roll stage with ''Bulletproof'', their most ambitious and venomous album to date. Rollicking guitars and a relentlessly aggressive rhythm section pound out political statements alongside epic road anthems and ragged love songs. As always, Reckless Kelly brings its indomitable Texas spirit to the new album, resulting in what promises to be the band's most immediate offering of their career. Recorded at Willie Nelson's legendary Pedernales Studios in Lake Travis, Texas, ''Bulletproof'' is a call to arms, an opening salvo in Reckless Kelly's campaign to spread the nearly religious dedication of its Texas followers to fans all across the U.S. of A.
Album Description Reckless Kelly's Bulletproof with Death Defying Songs for Looters and thieves. Fearless and action packed. Per Willy Braun of Reckless Kelly, 'We have dedicated songs to soldiers at shows all over the country and have had the honor of having some of them tell us things like, "Your music got me through a lot of tough times in Iraq." We have always tried to show our respect and support for the troops. I truly hope that people will listen with an open mind and know that "American Blood" is not an anti-American song, but a tribute to the sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform and their families that we have so much respect and admiration for.'

Reckless Kelly, not a bad album yet August 5, 2008 Pablo Jalisco (Seattle, WA USA) I own every Reckless Kelly release thus far, all are fantastic. This one fits right in with the rest. Definitely worth a buy if you are a RK fan.
The Braun Brothers Shoot And Score July 4, 2008 John Terry (Kansas City, Mo) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Willy and Cody Braun hit it out of the park with their first offering for Yep Roc. Integral members of the "red dirt" country movement, RK serves up red hot rockers along with poignant slow tunes in what might possibly be a contender for album of year album for 2008. I wear out everything they've done and I was a little worried that they couldn't continue to move the bar quality wise. There was nothing to fret about. You can turn it up loud, you can sing along with it, it'll become your best friend before too long. Extra kudos to Willy for writing "American Blood" and getting right to the heart of things in Iraq. I know some people believe that musicians shouldn't get political and aren't entitled to their opinion. The Brothers Braun support the men and women of the armed forces while voicing their opposition to a war that never had to be.
their best to date July 3, 2008 Bob Justman (Sacramento, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Easily the best of the Texas alt-country groups, these Oregon boys' songwriting and playing continues to improve by leaps and bounds, despite having spent little (if any) time writing with Nashville tunesmiths. The result is Reckless Kelly's most masterfull release to date and the best country offering of 2008. There's no Kelly Pickler/Julianne Crough karaoke singing here--this is serious business, rocked to the gills by guys who play instruments, write their own songs, say something with their music, and can rip the roof off of Greune Hall. Country music saying something? I think that last happened 22 years ago! Nice!
These gents have something to say! June 29, 2008 Trillian (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
You don't often find songwriting this poignant on the rock side of the alt-country genre, let alone on an album that would make great road music. Tracks like "Ragged as the Road" and "Lonely All The Time" brilliantly merge catchy country-rock vibes with some very smart lyrics. If you're craving some political message in your music, check out "American Blood" and the ballad "God Forsaken Town", an absolutely heart-wrenching tribute to the victims of hurricane Katrina.
This is their best cd!! June 26, 2008 Hogan Ottosson (Chapel Hill NC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I own all Reckless Kelly cd's and like them all, Millican being my personal favorite. It has been a while since they put out a studio cd, so I have been eagerly waiting for this cd. I received the cd yesterday, I definitely was not disappointed. 14 songs, not a bad one in the bunch. They are a cross between country, rock, and power pop. They use fiddle and madolin in their music, which really works. Willie and Cody Braun sing great in harmony. These guys rock, do yourself a favor and give this cd a listen. You will be hooked like I am.
