MMmmm...peter murphy....October 25, 2008 babylon_duprix(MO. U.S.A.) Honestly not my favorite album of his, but a must have for any murphy fanatic. I'm still super glad I bought this, but if you are new to peter murphy, this is not the best introduction. Newbies should buy "Love Hysteria" instead.
Perhaps my favorite album of all timeOctober 10, 2008 Philip Long 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There isn't a weak song on the album either lyrically or musically. Emotionally strong and hopeful in a way more optimistic and less defiant than his work in Bauhaus.
Murphy's best workApril 11, 2008 Joseph M. Fucci(boston, ma) I'd been searching for this album for ever and Amazon always has what you need, to me this is Peter Murphy's best work both lyricly and musicaly. It is described in the title I'd say that it really says it all DEEP was in my mind the album that got so many people into the the true talent of this guy, this is a must have for Murphy fans as well as Bahaus fans.
So glad i got this CD!!November 27, 2007 C. Butts I grew up in the late 80's to early 90's listening to goth/industrial and i missed Peter Murphy from my CD collection. this is one of his greatest albums when he put this out going solo after Bauhaus. He has always had a wonderfully thick and dreamy voice and with the orchestral arrangements, all tracks are great to listen too. My fave is "Marlene Dietrich's Favorite Poem"
Incredible AlbumMarch 16, 2007 sfguitarist(San Francisco, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
So moody. Peter Murphy is amazing. The musicians on this album are solid and Peter Murphy's lyrics are mesmerizing. Dark, yet mature. This album does not get old.
