Like Whitney say's One moment in time....she must have Incognito on her mind! This cd is a great moment captured on one great cd! I seen incognito live in nyc, and popping the cd on brings back momments i wish I can re-live.....If you ready for a jammed pack...get up and dance..cry and shake you bom bom...this is the cd for you! Got dancing shoes and a kleenex?
A rousing set worth every penny! October 22, 2000 M. S Swanson (Elkhart, IN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you think Incognito is just a studio band think again. This live offering captures a tight, energetic, perfectly balanced band having a great time in Japan. Incognito fans will appreciate the ample song list loaded with favorites, but fear not; this isn't a boring greatest hits concert. There is a jam-session feel on several of the cuts and Maysa really shines with her own versions of Roots and Everday. The whole thing is mixed beautifully just as you'd expect from Bluey. Love it!
Strong performance... July 6, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bluey is bouncing on this one. If you are an incognito fan, you will want to get this CD.. Does a neat run little off of "Colibr" and the Ronnie Laws tune "Always there". Nice CD to drive with, just keep your eyes on the road while you're passing up the other cars on the freeway.. This is an import only? Hopefully there will be some more live CDs like this one in the future. The record lables may have to catch up first perhaps, they are a bit slow to creative music like this.
Better than a simple Greatest Hits CD!! August 12, 1999 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I hate "greatest hits" compilations, especially when I already own the original CDs. Live CDs, on the other hand, are something I look forward to with great anticipation. "Incognito: Tokyo Live" does not disappoint in the least.I thouroughly love every track. An added bonus is the inclusion of a great rendition of one of my top-3 Incognito songs, "Always There". Excellent! The arrangements depart from the originals in unusual, creative, and exciting ways. The only thing that would have made this CD better for me would be if it was a double-CD. Ah well, next time.
