Golden Ring gets betterJanuary 18, 2006 Sheila Bloom(Alexandria, VA United States) I have had this album since it first came out (along with the ones that came after) and it's beauty just grows. However, the cd (at least with the New Golden Ring) fails to come with the booklet that came with the lp and you can get it for $1 by writing to Folk-Legacy.

I first heard this album in 1966 and I have been listening to it now for over 34 years. The album was all the rage in Boston folk music scene at that time. The songs are varied , fresh, and timeless. They are as American as apple pie and moonshine. I would strongly recommend this album to anyone who has an interest in American folk music or would like to here music that is timeless and unpretensious.
