Album Details This Compilation features Joe Bihari's Recordings of the Charismatic Southern Downhome Guitarists, Including Little Son Jackson, Jesse Thomas, Pine Top Slim, and Smokey Hogg with Pianist Alex Moore. The Original Releases on Modern, RPM, Blues and Rhythm and Colonial Are Incredibly Rare. There Are Seven Previously Unissued Tracks and Many More Obscurities, all Beautifully Remastered. As Before, Jim O'neal (The Co-founder of Living Blues) Has Contributed Another Detailed Note Based on Much Original Research. The Compilation is by the Usual Team of John Broven and Dave Sax. These Enjoyable Recordings Represent an Invaluable Historical Snapshot of a Generation of Downhome Blues Guitarists that Are Long Gone.
