One of the BestNovember 11, 2008 L. Cook(Dallas, TX United States) If imitation is the greatest form of flattery then just look at the opening song played by Prince at the 2007 SuperBowl. Dave Grohl screams his heart out on this jamming rock anthem as only he can. Check out the full album (In Your Honor) for more hard hitting songs on Disc 1, and a softer, acoustic set on Disc 2. One of my favorite albums, by one of my favorite bands.

Blake Schwarzenbach is the genious behind Jets to Brazil and Jawbreaker. Kiss the Bottle is one of the more famous Jawbreaker songs. Dave Grohl is the man for covering this one.
It's also been covered by Sparta who did an awesome job as well.

Got it before version 1 with the German star track. It is delayed by Amazon. This version has the first single Best of You. Same as In Your Honor CD @ 4:14. Next track ffl. Ready, aim, fire. Fat F**king lies. Get on your bikes and ride?? Two plus minutes of Dave screaming. Good drums and guitar. Same feel as gas chamber rereleased on Rock against Bush. Definite Foo. Next track Kiss the Bottle. This has way to many words to be a Foo original. Looking at the credits - written by Schwarenbach, Bauermeister, Pfaler. So many words that (I'm guessing) Taylor is the singer not Dave. The words sound like country with the dog in my flatbed. Do not know where they got this from. Actually the guitar sound swirling around in the background and bass is pretty good. I kiss the bottle but I should be kissing you. I do not know why I listened to this rotation for an hour but I should be listening to In Your Honor. I'll add these to my customized CD - GUILTY PLEASURE. Then you get Dave on the enchanced side talking about his wish list. Remember this from Friends. You get a pass if you get to DO someone on the list. Dave wants to play with them. Actually it is pretty funny. I laughed so hard I had to repeat it three times. The dude is from Nirvana and did the Bengimans with P Diddy. (I am jealous that I can not obtain this from Amazon directly, thus the indirect reference!) John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) is a rock and roll god so whatever Dave can say about the three tracks on In Your Honor he performs on - we did not get much other than Dave's tattoos and what he plays and Chris wanting to rip off the riff from Kashmir - nothing but awesome. I am entertained today and did not do anything to solve the world's problems. 4 stars until you tell me where this KISS THE BOTTLE came from and that it has had it's shots. See you in Sunrise, Florida September 10th section 105. The Foos and Weezer on a Saturday night. Ohh ohh ohh ohh - the Best!!
