Excellent 1st step to a Paul Simon collection March 19, 2008 E. N. McDaniel (Springfield, OR USA) I did not realize just how many Paul Simon songs I LOVED until I bought this album. I had wanted to purchase one of his albums for some time - I knew I liked him and have quite a bit of Simon and Garfunkel. I didn't realize I loved him. I am amazed at how many different rhythms and styles are in his music. The harmonies are amazing. My particular favorites are Late in the Evening, Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes, Kodachrome, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover and Mother and Child Reunion... well at least that's a few. Now, I am sure this is not a definitive Paul Simon album. I had really considered getting the Essential Paul Simon, but for the price and just how many fantastic songs are on this CD, you can't go wrong. Frankly I am inspired to add to my collection now. But if you are like me - someone who notices yourself turning up the radio and singing along whenever one of his songs comes on- you will be amazed and delighted at how wonderful Paul Simon is and I highly recommend this album.
All the best, a must for your cd collection September 7, 2007 Nyla Waters When they say 'collection' they mean it. This cd has everything you could possibly want in a Paul Simon album, and you will be singing along with all the old favorites, and reminiscing about times gone by. No one speaks the ages like Paul Simon--and his 'Boy in the Bubble' is particularly haunting in the current time. Good driving music--take this one along on your next road trip.
The Paul Simon Collection: On my way, Don't know where I'm Goin September 5, 2007 David A. Lewis (Heartland of America) This is truly a supurb album. All the Great hits we remember plus a couple of new one's. I highly recommend this cd. I just can't get the tunes out of my head. awesome!
Nice to have these songs on one CD August 23, 2007 A. Simons (Houston TX) I like most of the songs, but maybe I played them to death when they first came out. I'm not so crazy after all these years about some of them.
