Worth it!! March 29, 2007 Zoombuggy (Kentucky) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Carter Beauford is perhaps my favorite drummer. I've been studying his technique and grooves for several years now, so I had to have this video. I would have actually liked to have seen more drumming, but if it was 10 hours long, I would still want more drumming, so, it's a good value overall for the price. I go back to this video time and time again to watch him play along with some of DMB's songs. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this video for any drummer who wants to build on their jazz/funk/fusion experience. I've taken several specific licks/fills/grooves from this video and have applied them.

This DVD is awesome. My Fiance loves and watches it on its own, while he is drumming, at least once a week. It has inspired him to go out and buy all of the Dave Mathhew cds. This is a must for anyone who is a drummer.
WOW! March 27, 2005 Mike Parks 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Carter Beauford is definetly a great drummer. This video will be over your head if you are not an experienced drummer (not recommended for a beginner). He demonstrates an open hand technique and his setup is different than the generic set up most people use, so at first it may be a little confusing. He actually does a great job explaining what he is doing and slows it down for demonstrations. I have a few other videos of "famous" drummers who just show off and can't explain anything. Carter Beauford does show off his talent, but he also does a great job explaining what he is doing.
Expensive DVD, but worth the price! February 7, 2005 Theodore Paniccia 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Why is this dvd so expensive? Anyway it's a great dvd if you are just looking to see Carter Beauford show us his stuff. If you get a chance pick it up because it's a great one to have in your collection!
Amazing September 12, 2004 M. Stevens (Jackson, WY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Carter Beauford has been named one of the Top 25 Drummers of All Time and this video shows why. It's not an instructional video, rather it is a showcase into the skills of this master. This video will blow your mind. I show it to anybody who is interested (and most people are, especially after they sit down at my drum kit and have a few whacks at it) and I have yet to see anyone not stunned by the ability of Carter. Very enjoyable to watch, and the experienced drummer can pick up some new ideas. The novice drummer may be overwhelmed, but on the other hand it may inspire him/her to greatness!
