Sonething's Gotta GiveApril 14, 2008 Jane Lee(Gainesville, Florida United States) This is a sweet and lovely CD, light and uplifting, esp. the last song, La Vie En Rosa, which is sung by Jack Nicholson himself. The music is a little old style, but my grandaughter, who is 17 loves it. Also, I am able to sing along with the French songs, even though my French is very limited. Love this CD!
Love itApril 11, 2008 Barbara Adams(Gobles, MI United States) I love this soundtrack. I only have one complaint and that is that they left off Maroon Five's song "Sunday Morning" What's up with that? If it is on the soundtrack then put it on the C.D.
Love It!March 5, 2008 rsw155(USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
If a movie is of Nancy Myer, I know I'm in for a long, two, possibly three hour movie that could skip alot of the filler and get straight to the end. The things that happen in this movie are hilarious. I am a fan of Keaton which is why I like it so much.
It makes you smile when you hear it.February 23, 2008 L. Scroggins(Simi Valley, CA USA) This CD has such charming songs. "Something's Got to Give" is one of my favorite movies. I will be listening to the CD and be reminded of a scene for the movie and smile. Jack Nicholson singing "Mi Vie En Rose" is great. The scene with him singing that song was edited out but it is available in the deleted scenes on the DVD. It was too bad that it was cut but it is great to listen too. Buy it you will love it.
Really enjoyed this compilationJanuary 30, 2008 International Diva Great music from a lovely film. It's mostly a collection of French music with some other mellow songs thrown in. Some of the tracks I had already as they're pretty common, but the overall feeling is evocative of a pleasant summer evening alone the Seine. Good background music for a French dinner party, or for background music around the house. I gave it to my mother, who loved the film, and she plays it all the time.
A surprising track has Jack Nicholson singing La Vie En Rose... and he's pretty good, too.
