| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description By the composer of Bye Bye Birdie, Annie, is one of the best loved Broadway musicals of all-time. All the instruments played on this album are live. Songs are recorded in the original show key, and show tempo. Tracks 1-12 have background tracks and guide vocals, tracks 13-23 have the accompaniment tracks alone. When played in a CDG player, lyrics will appear on-screen. This album may also be played in any CD player; full lyrics are provided in a booklet enclosed in the jewel case. This album is a re-recording and not a rendition by the original cast.

Does what its supposed to do. May 18, 2007 M. Bingham 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product to accompany my singers in a show, and they were able to sing along with it just fine. However, if you are not very familiar with the music of Annie, some of the tracks can be a bit hard to follow. I found this especially true with "Tomorrow." Once I listened to the actual person sing it a few times I was able to follow though.
Not the best, but I'm sure it's not the worst either... March 31, 2007 M. Ellison (Paradise, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this CD to use as backing tracks for my musical theatre students. Some of the songs are very difficult to keep time with for beginners, and some are also not very true to the originals. I compared the tracks to both the original Broadway cast and to the motion picture album... and they didn't really add up. I wouldn't consider it a waste of money, but I also wouldn't do a happy dance about this CD.
love the music January 19, 2007 mom of two (north carolina) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful

Excellent for my daughter! July 27, 2004 Anonymous 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
My daughter is such a young singer in the making. She loves Annie. We have both singing lesson CD volumes of Voice Lessons To Go by Vaccarino which she doeas a few times a week after school. (I do them too) And then she sings through this whole CD with her friends. (Don't think I haven't tried it once or twice with mine).
good sing-a-long disk July 7, 2004 Modern Millie (Boston MA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I read the last negative review and had to respond. This product is not meant to sound like the movie - so I don't understand his criticism. It's meant to sound like the broadway show. Karaoke albums are for singing with, not for listening to. If the later is what you want, just get the cast album, but for kids to perform with in front of their friends and family -- this album does exactly what it's supposed to!
