While many soundtracks offer two takes on a hit single, how many offer alternate cuts on three different songs? Warner Bros.' The Quest for Camelot does, with mixed results. "Looking Through Your Eyes" is performed three times--once by LeAnn Rimes, once by the Corrs and Bryan White, and lastly as a tedious all-instrumental version by David Foster. Compared to her standard fare, Celine Dion's "The Prayer" sounds reserved; there's no over-the-top melisma and her voice sounds almost subdued. Andrea Bocelli's take on the same tune is slightly different, with a slightly more pronounced string section kicking in. Journey frontman Steve Perry delivers one of the more convincing performances with his version of "I Stand Alone" (also covered by Bryan White) and "United We Stand." Gary Oldman's "Ruber" is sinister, while Don Rickles's Cornwall is funny (and a nice change-of-pace from all these megastars) on "If I Didn't Have You." --Jason Verlinde

5 out of 5 stars Quest For Camelot- Personal Review and Feedback   March 30, 2007

I just want to say that this soundtrack is completely awesome and it is a perfect pair to the movie. The songs are so superb. There are songs that lead you to adventure, romance, and comedy. In my opinion, looking through your eyes sung by Leann Rimes and the duet sung by the Corrs and Bryan White are the best songs on the soundtrack! It is entirely romantic and it makes me cry whenever I hear it. The singing voice of Kayley and Garret are so sweet. i wish they would make a part 2 so there would be another soundtrack. The songs will also stay in your head, and sometimes you will find yourself sining it wothout even knowing it! =) This soundtrack deserves 6 stars, not 5. Once you listen to it, you can't stop!

This is truly a great soundtrack but the price is too high. Go to gomusic.ru and you can download it for $1.76.

5 out of 5 stars United These Songs Stand Together (on this soundtrack)   June 3, 2006

I got this soundtrack last summer, which was used, so the CD case was scratched, and the frontcover was gone, and it looked ratty, if u know wat I mean. But once I listened to the soundtrack, it totally made up for the beat-up CD case!

My Rating List
1)Looking Through your eyes 6/10: Um,it was better when Kayley and Garrett sang it.I didn't like how the lyrics were changed, and the country tune kinda ruined it.

2)I Stand Alone 2/10: God, Steve Perry sounded like he was howling in pain, and that he was going to burst into tears any moment! Garrrett was WAAAAAAY better, and I didn't like the lyrics being changed in this song either.

3)The Prayer 10/10: Totally touching. Celine Dion, you deserve a cheering crowd of mothers with their children!

4)United We Stand 9/10: Awesome Irish tune. But...the singing was corny. Who cares? 2 thumbs up to the fiddler and the woodwind players!

5)On My Father's Wings 10/10: Perfect for any girl who looks up to their fathers. Andrea Corr totally put her soul into this song!

6)Looking Through Your Eyes 10/10: It was SO romantic and beautiful! I was crying because I was so touched! One of my favorites!

7)Ruber 8/10: You call that singing? Ruber was yelling almost the whole time! However, I liked the background instrumentals. I found this more satisfying than the first two songs on this soundtrack. But please, just don't bellow like that in my ears, unless if you're singing an awesome song that falls into the heavy metal/goth music genre.

8)I Stand All Alone 10/10: I LOVED THIS SONG! I loved watching Garrett go through the unique surroundings of the forbiddon forest as he sings. He has a very clear and nice voice. Try and beat that, Steve Perry!

9)If I didn't Have You 10/10: It's SO funny! However, I think peoople should see the movie before listening to this song otherwise they may not understand it.

10)Forbidden Forest/Dragon Attack: 1/10: Ho-hum. What a bore. I can't even force myself to listen to this whole song. In addition, I don't like the loud beginning. I don't recommend this song.

11)The Battle 10/10: A little more interesting than the previous song, but still a bore. Can someone please pass me a blanket? I think the sandman just came to visit me...*snores*

12)Looking THrough Your Eyes (Instrumental) 10/10: I think its really pretty. It totally sounds something you would here being played by some volunteering musicians play at a really fancy restaurant.

13)The Prayer 9/10: Really good, but why does this have a bit of the melody from "Looking THrough Your Eyes"?

This is a good soundtrack for anybody who loves the movie, Quest For Camelot! It nearly makes up for a wrecked CD case. But it was nearly a year ago when I got this, so it's not as impressive as it used to be. But 5 stars, anyway.
