Can't go wrong March 21, 2008 Didi Look Tiger army is amazing! I love all of thier music. Even when I don't like a song at first it always grows on me. Very talented musicians and awsome to see live. There is a little more rock-a-billy in this album but TA is still psycho. If you just like one song and are wondering if you should buy the album for that song you should because you'll end up liking the whole album.
Love this album September 12, 2007 Suzanne Q. Teague (Triad Area NC, USA) I love this album. I have been into punk since I first heard the Misfits and Dead Kennedy's back in 1985 and have listened to many different types of punk and have definitely formed my own opinions and tastes. I came across this band on a Punk forum I frequent. I ordered it immediately and listen to it almost daily now. It's nice to see that raw and original music is still being put out I can fall in love with. Nick 13 has amazing vocals that go perfectly with the music. I was disappointed that Tiger Army will not be touring in my state with their newest schedule. Oh well... I will see them live one day.
This one is OK, but proceed with caution March 16, 2007 the ghoul (Las Vegas, NV United States) Tiger Army's previous efforts have been fantastic, but this one shows signs of going in a mellower, more accessible and mainstream direction. Unfortunately, when this starts to happen to a band, things usually only get worse. There are some great songs on this CD. I especially like "Swift, Silent, Deadly," but overall this release pales in comparison to their others. I won't buy the next one without hearing it first, and if the band continues in this direction, I won't be adding any more of their CDs to my collection.
Elitists eff off. July 17, 2006 Laura M. Cardwell (Albany, NY USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
III is Tiger Army's most mature-sounding and solid piece of work to date. The songwriting is aeons beyond that found on their first album, and on III they've chosen to showcase their sharp pop sensibilities. The songs all have distinct personalities of their own, all while screaming TIGER ARMY. Personal favorites include the '50s-esque love song "Through The Darkness," country-fied "The Long Road," and "Calling," which is one of their best songs ever IMO. Looking forward to the next release. It's not fair to blow off good music simply because it appeals to a wider audience - not cool at all.
Best Tiger Army yet. April 15, 2006 Steven D. Sinagra (Orlando, Fl United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The writing is tight. The song structure is incredible. His vocals are amazing. The sound of the recording is so different from any other psychobilly stuff out there. Nick 13 has grown into a much better songwriter/musician. I hope their next disc sounds this good. Alot of people bashed this disc, but they are trapped into what they think psychobilly should sound like. Nick 13 is making the genre evolve, and I applaud him for it. If every band sounded like Demented Are Go!, the Meteors or the Nekromantix this genre of music will die faster than the grunge scene from a decade ago.
