Nice CD set January 6, 2009 Leah Martin (Starkville, MS) I have to admit, I wouldn't necessarily consider this collection the MOST soothing music in the universe. That title would have to go to Susie Tallman's CD "Classical Baby". But the music is nice. I ordered both to help sooth a fussy baby before bedtime, and I think "Classical Baby" does a much better job.
The CD's title is misleading December 13, 2008 E. Robers (Maineville, OH USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a nice collection of classical music, but I don't find it to be particularly soothing. It certainly does not come close to deserving to be called the most soothing lullabies of the universe. You get the squelchy sound of violins and violas, and the volume changes between loud and soft from one track to another, and within the same song. There are s is not something I would want to go to sleep to. I guess I was hoping more of the gentle sound of the harp. A better choice would be some of the harp music by Carol J. Spears.
Perfect music for parents and their baby October 24, 2008 cbk (MA) Lovely and relaxing music to rock a baby. Even if you don't have a baby to rock it is soothing.
Great Collection of Classical Music July 10, 2008 E. Simmons 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was very pleased with this collection. It is simply just beautiful classical music that hasn't been dumbed down for babies, like so many other albums seem to be. It also does NOT have any 'new age' like adaptions, which was a big plus for me personally. My daughter has not had any problems drifting to sleep while it's playing. I would definitely recommend this as a great first CD for your baby!
Nice assortment of songs July 7, 2008 C. Layton (San Francisco, CA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a nice CD full of classics. Not all of the tracks will lull baby to sleep (try Mozart for Mothers-to-be), but, for the price, it's well worth adding to your collection.
