cd with a purposeJune 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Throughout her cd "Purpose" you can fell the drive and determination that she exhibits throughout especially after the road that took her to finally getting this excellent first cd to finally see the light of day.
After many holdups and whatnot "Purpose" is finally on us and its one that should garner much attention from people that already knew about her through whatever channels. But also people like me that just decided to check this out and see what's really going on with cd. Its an excellent first effort and through each track, Algebra has a jazzy, old school vibe to her voice that really serves the cd very well.
I hope that she continues to gain more attention and a stronger fan base that will wonders for her in the future and maybe some touring as well. So that the name Algebra will be known by many more folks in the music business.
GREAT NEW ARTISTMay 27, 2008 This young lady has a long career ahead of her. She has a very beautiful jazzy voice.
Took a Long Time!May 23, 2008 Algebra album release took a long time to come out! This sister has a very nice voice and the early selections on this cd are really good, and the last few songs were not so good, overall good first cd , she should have not compared to BADU, STONE ,SCOTT....not quite there yet.
Highly ImpressedMay 22, 2008 I think Algebra's album is very impressive. I was looking for new music, because I was tired of recycling Jill Scott and Raheem Devaughn's albums. I have to admit, when I first heard of her I thought I wouldn't be impressed. But I have to eat my own words. Algebra is very soulful, and her music actually has a meaning. She is my new favorite artist. I know she will have a long and prosperous career.
