why people listen to compressed downloaded music i don't understand buy the cd and if you convert for an ipod convert to lossless files at least.

And by smooth I mean great! It has that trance energy and sometimes feels a little like techno as well.
The CD starts out slow but gets to the right "level" soon enough. It is mixed in a way you can recognize every track's beginning and end but without any sudden changes always keeping the flow. Which is good, because when a CD sounds all as one it gets boring after a while.
About the track selection I like that the songs are not very famous already, from DJs that you hear about all the time (except for the one from Dubfire).
The reason it is not five stars is because I think it's missing songs with powerful vocals, or any kind of vocals at all, the type of song you look forward to hear, you memorize and sing along with it.
It is not a "party CD" (I don't say this like it's a bad thing) and to fully enjoy it you need to listen to it closely, if you keep skipping from one song to the next the first time you get your hands on it, you might not like it

As an avid trance lover for 12 years I've heard just about all the master DJ's and Pappa certainly rates in my top 10 list! This release is mesmerizing and the mixing is flawless. You can't go wrong with this Aussie masterpiece!

Either I'm being really stupid or you - Amazon - are.
Surely the whole point of a DJ mix album is that it is, er, mixed. So why not provide continuous single MP3 files of the two discs along with the original tracks? Sure, I can stick them all together, and I have done, but it's a pain to do...
My rating's not a comment on the album, which is perfectly fine, just on this really dumb way of selling it.
