Amazon.com Incubus: Look Alive is a dedicated summation of the state of Incubus, the alt-metal band born in the San Fernando Valley. Generally well-regarded by music critics who have noted the group's evolution since its formation in 1991, Incubus emphasizes tracks from their most recent album, Light Grenades, on Look Alive, a concert disc shot during a world tour. While the seemingly low-key band takes to the road in some fairly exotic places, it demonstrates during live performances of the jangly "Quicksand," the hard-rocking "Megalomaniac," and dramatic "Anna Molly" that vocalist Brandon Boyd, guitarist Mike Einziger, bassist Dirk Lance, and drummer Jose Pasillas are close to mastering their ever-developing penchant for radical tonal shifts within songs. Melodically drifting while rhythmically sputtering and exploding, Incubus' most up-to-date work, perhaps especially played in concert, proves the group is exploring uncharted territory of its own. A novel element on this disc is travel footage from the band's tour, including images from Israel, Dubai, London, and peculiarly beautiful, surreal shots of Iceland. --Tom Keogh

Awesome December 20, 2008 Luiz Filipe Giani Awesome dvd!!! shows some backstages and part of some concerts... they are awesome!!!
Better on Blu Ray? December 10, 2008 Catherine Dzwonar (Egg Harbor Township, NJ) I bought this DVD when it first came out last year. It's not as great as the now classic Incubus Attacks: Volume Two, but still a collectable for most Incubus fanatics. Yesterday, the Blu Ray HD version was released. I was wondering if the Blu Ray version has any differences from the DVD?!? It comes out a year later on a disc that has 10 times the storage capacity so I would imagine that they would throw a few new things on there for the folks who already bought the DVD more than a year ago. Maybe not then?
Almost as good as the morning view dvd October 22, 2008 B. Arthur (Los Angeles, CA) I like this dvd because unlike the morning view dvd, you can "play all". but it has less footage and interviews with them and less about what it was like to film videos and make the light grenades record. It is a good dvd but not the best, depending on what you are looking for.
Husband Loved October 6, 2008 N. Bruske (USA) Incubus is one of my husbands favorite bands. I bought this DVD for him Christmas 2007 and he loved it. My Brother-in-law found a similar DVD but it has a bouns CD included with songs on it for the same price. Was dissapointed about that.
Not all concert footage September 30, 2008 S. Rizzardo (Los Angeles, Ca.) While I still beleive after watching this video that Incubus is one of the most creative bands, do not buy this thinking you are getting a full concert. it does however show you glimpses of the band off stage and how they act when not on stage. if you are a fan, buy it,if you just want to watch them perform live, then maybe another video is one you should buy.
