My favorite James Brown collection April 16, 2008

I still have a hard time believing James Brown left us only two years ago. It seems like just yesterday when I woke up on Christmas morning only to hear of Brown's death.
The Godfather of Soul, as he is often referred to, will always live on through his legendary music. And, in 1999, he was awarded a collection in UMG's '20th Century Masters' series. And, in 2007, he was given a second volume.
Unlike the first volume, which focused on the 1960s, the second volume focuses on the 1970s. Sure, there's no 'I Feel Good' here, but he made some great classics during the '70s that should not be overlooked.
'Get Up I Feel Like Being A Sex Machine,' 'The Payback' and many other classics appear on this classic set. And this is by far my favorite Godfather set on the market. It's skimpy, with only 10 songs, but what's here is simply incredible.
Overall, this is a great set to own for any JB fan. A great set that would make James proud.
