Amazon.com Socialites in the Hamptons paid up to $15,000 for the privilege of seeing this duo in action just a few weeks before the release of Live at Radio City Music Hall. Not that it was any easier to get tickets to the April 22, 2007, concert in New York that produced this recording, available on CD or DVD with high-definition 5.1 surround sound and an additional 46-minute film of backstage footage. The acoustic set features the veteran musicians performing for nearly two-and-a-half hours--and you get the feeling they could have easily kept going. Reynolds gets his solo turn on "Betrayal" and "You Are My Sanity," but it's a chatty Matthews who seems to be relishing the occasion more, stripping down some of his band's most popular songs ("Lie in Our Graves," "Two Step") while giving the fans a sneak peek at a couple of its new ones ("Eh Hee," "Cornbread"). The guy's even thrown in a few covers for kicks, including Neil Young's "Down by the River" and Daniel Lanois' "The Maker." In terms of audio quality and packaging, it marks a vast improvement over the pair's first release, 1999's Live at Luther College. And the best part is that it doesn't cost more than a yacht. --Aidin Vaziri
Album Description In April 2007, Dave Mathews and Tim Reynolds embarked on a 3 city theatre tour, culminating with a performance in the intimate confines of Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Due to the small sized venues and extremely limited number of dates, tickets were practically impossible to get, making these new 2 CD and 2 DVD sets all the more desirable to the huge Dave Matthews band fanbase.

A Mezmorizing Concert November 8, 2008 Tyler Goff (Ann Arbor, MI) Live At Radio City with Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds is one of the best acoustic performances you'll find. There is over 3 hours of material on this disc, and over 2 hours of the concert as well. Personal favorites of this concert include the 9-minute rendtion of "Dancing Nancies" and the beautiful "Crush" Tim Reyonlds is a master of making the acoustic guitar sound funky, sometimes haunting at times during this concert. The latter half of the show seems even stronger than the first. "Cornbread", "Crash into me", and "Down By the River" is a consecutive masterpiece. The Blu-Ray looks great, sounds exceptionally well on a surround sound system, and will attract any music fan, familiar with Dave Matthews or not.
live acoustic dave matthews experience October 14, 2008 Waleed Khawaja (Chicago, IL) This is coming from someone who was fortunate enough to go to this show and watch it live first hand. it was a marvelous experience. dave covered a lot of his mainstream hit songs, as well as some other less-familiar to dmb fans versions of other songs. overall this album and my feeling during the show itself was that it has a little darkish/somber ring to it. it wasn't all happy blissfull music, and dave seemed stuck on a theme. i also remember dave having a bit of a soar throat that night but the performance from both him and tim reynolds was terrific! the sound quality is great and the gives you some of the best acoustic music. some standouts were 'crash', 'bartender', 'crush' and 'out of my hands'. I thought as a duo, the LUTHER COLLEGE album was a little better overall than this work, but any fans of soft acoustic music should definitely give this a listen. Other great live concerts from DMB worth checking out - PIEDMONT PARK and CENTRAL PARK. But LUTHER COLLEGE is best.
Awesome! October 11, 2008 Benjamin Snyder (WV, USA) Great video & sound quality. Awesome set list, (some from "Some Devil" album). Dave & Tim, need I say more. Buy it if you're a fan of the Lutheran College CD.
