Spectacular AlbumDecember 14, 2008 Justin Stewart(Bronx, Ny) This Album Was Excellent. All These Song's Were Great Hard Rock, With Great Vocal's And Instrument's. I Really Enjoyed All These Song's. Chevelle Did Perfect In This Album. This Was And Still Is My Favorite Album. Awsome Album.
Best to dateNovember 5, 2008 Hellweed(Charlotte) In my opinion, this is Chevelle's best effort yet. For me , "I Get It" is the best track on the CD. I enjoy "Saturdays", "The Fad" and "Midnight to Midnight" as well. Great production without being overly glossy. There are a lot of Heavy rock bands out there and Chevelle is really coming into their own identity with this one.
Great from beginning to endOctober 16, 2008 keegan brown(St Paul, MN) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I honestly didn't expect much from this album. I used to appreciate the earlier work from Chevelle. Unfortunately the last couple albums didn't do too much for me. A couple good songs here and there, but weak overall. I decided to have a listen to Vena Sera after hearing some good things. I have to say it lived up to the hype. It took a few listens, but now I really enjoy this album. It definitly rekindled my interest in Chevelle. If you want a solid rock album you can play all the way through, then pick this up.
Chevelle/Tool??????October 11, 2008 B. Pellettiere(Arizona) How could anyone with just an inkling of music knowledge compare Chevelle to Tool? I'm a fan of both and challenge you to choose a CD from both bands, listen to them back to back, and then try to tell me they sound the same. If you have no change of heart I don't know what to tell ya, go pick up some Lenny Kravitz, next you'll be saying his "version" of American Woman compared to the original.
Oh and by the way Vena Sera is great!
I love this band.September 18, 2008 Catherine Dzwonar(Egg Harbor Township, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This band isn't the best band in the world to hear live, but their not the worst either. But anyway, Chevelle's new album isn't as good as 2005's This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In but it is probably equal to 2002's Wonder What's Next. A definite buy for fans of Chevelle. You might want to take a second guess if you didn't like This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In because this album sounds almost like it is just a bunch of leftover songs from when they recorded that album.
