Australian pressing of the 2006 single disc compilation by the American Rock institution led by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry features an outer slipcase with different artwork (which houses a CD that boasts the same artwork as the regular U.S. version) and features the same tracklisting as the UK edition. It drops five tracks from the domestic pressing (:'Mama Kin', 'Back In The Saddle', 'What It Takes', 'Rag Doll' and 'Last Child') and replaces them with five others ('Angel', 'Amazing', 'Other Side', 'Falling In Love Is Hard On The Knees' and 'Pink'). 18 tracks total. Both The Lable & the Band are Guilty of Pissing Down the Leg of One of the true Great american Rock bands, Like The Other truely Great American Rock band (Cheap Trick) we have been bombarded with Cut rate compilations of past glory, What the band really has told it's fans is This, We have nothing Tangible to say we have milked our cow dry But we are not quite done Fleecing you so Give us your money because we spent most of our fortune sticking things In our noses & veins so Give us more money beause we are now addicted to your hard earned Cash. stay away from this & all further released albums by this band until they give us more than Hits or Live compilations or Rehashed Blues numbers from artists who did them better in the first place save you money & buy yourself a Muddy Waters CD or a willie Dixon cd see where these rip off artists bit thier style from in the first place
Should've Done An Outtakes Collection July 23, 2008

The cover is basically a knockoff of Def Leppard's outtake compilation "Retro Active." Why couldn't they instead (or in addition) have knocked off the idea behind Retro Active?
This DOES include two outtakes from the Pump and Get A Grip sessions, and both are worthwhile. But if Aerosmith had to fill a contractual obligation as is obvious here, why not just make a full CD of outtakes, rather than yet another unnecessary "best of?" Anybody who would be interested in the two "new" songs already has everything else here, and anybody who is looking for a greatest hits CD would be far better off with "Oh Yeah" or better yet, with "Greatest Hits," "Gems," and "Big Ones."
And while quite a few outtakes from their early years were released on "Pandora's Box," the outtakes from the later period (besides the two here) still await release.
This gets three stars just because the music is so good, but it's better heard elsewhere. I'm not finding a (legal) download for this on Amazon or on iTunes -- perhaps it's Sony's way of forcing you to buy the whole album if you want the two outtakes. But other than those two tracks, I can't think of anybody who really needs the rest of this.

Had I known about it at the time, I would have bought O Yeah! instead. But when I bought this back in August of last year, I was satisfied with it mostly. I was surprised (being even a casual fan) that it not include Come Together or anything from Get Your Wings; luckily I found a copy of the other album, bought Come Together off iTunes, and I'm happy. That being said, it's complete madness that it even exists. There are PLENTY of budget Aerosmith comps; don't get this. Get O Yeah! instead; it's a damn near perfect overview of Aerosmith's entire catalog so far.
