Chris Isaak does it againOctober 4, 2008 cmoore(california) I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who loves excellent music. This CD includes all of his hits and a few new songs that are wonderful! "Let me down easy" is one of my favorites. What a great toe tapping love song! Chris and his band just get it! They are a great band and this CD is a prime example of their talent and experience. This CD will never go out of style.
Should have been 2 CDsJune 20, 2008 Chris Kaiser(Billings, MT United States) Some artists have so much material that their hits package could be multiple CDs. That is the case with Chris Isaak. Who cares if the song was a hit or not on radio? There are some songs that are so great they should still be included but are sadly missed. This is a very cool CD, however.
Shades of RoyApril 9, 2008 C. Shortell(Williamsburg, VA USA) Really love this album. Reflects many moods with wonderful lyrics and shades of Roy Orbison's sound. Chris Izaak has a great voice and nuance.
Simply the BestJanuary 18, 2008 Marlena Stinebaugh(Seattle, WA USA) What can I say. If you like Chris Isaac then this one's for you. It's Simply the Best.
Sound Check For This CD Please!October 28, 2007 Classical Music Connoisseur(850 Bryant ST. STE.600 San Francisco, CA 94103) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have all Chris Isaak CDs in my music library. 02 of them are HDCD encoded (Speak Of The Devil & Baja Sessions). The studio has finally released this title CD "Best of Chris Issak" even without HDCD logo printed on the CD cover, the CD is HDCD encoded which is a plus for critical audiophiles since most Chris Issak CDs have great sound! Unfortunately NOT in this case! All original songs were badly remixed and remastered even though they were encoded with HDCD! A big disappointment for Issak fans and critical audiophiles like myself! Anyone can make a much better compilation out of Isaak CDs than this compilation! This CD is NOT recommended!
