A blend of so many artists styles but uniquely her own a beautiful strong voice with beautiful , heartfelt lyrics. March 13, 2008 Stephanie D. Stipanovich (Santa Cruz, Ca. United States) This album surprised me beyond words. I thought it was going to get a poppy album without much depth. I wasn't sure if she had won American idol or what. (I don't watch that show.GASP!!) Her voice and lyrics are exceptional. Her range is fantastic.I think it is a compliment to say she has some Fiona some Christine Aguillara, some Norah Joneds, Tori Amos, so much of a montage of beautiful styles. This is an extremely talented young lady and I hope she continues to write her own music, following her soul and not get sucked into the music business politics. I love her.The entire album is great.
Where is Sara?? July 21, 2007 William E. Smith (Pasadena, CA USA) Discovered her listening to Pandora. Great songs and voice. Why can't I buy her music anywhere?? iTunes doesn't have it, Amazon is out. Get some discs out for your fans!
Beautiful Surprise! December 27, 2006 afterglow4u2 (Florida) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I first heard "Gravity" while watching "Loving Anabelle". Intrigued by her piercing lyrcis and undeniable sound, I immediately started my internet search for this Sara Bareilles. I was a bit skeptical, thinking "Gravity" would be my one track wonder. WRONG ANSWER! It has been quite some time since I heard a CD that moves me in this way. She takes me on a genre-coster ride, and it feels so good! I can't get enough! Needless to say, I bought it! Surely, I will need a fix while I drive. The good news is, you can get some of what I got. The same hit. The same high! Get it! You won't regret it!
Sara B...where's the follow up album already? June 5, 2006 C. Franco (Houston, TX) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I first heard Sara B in the opening credits of Girl Play, her song "Fairytale". At the time, I wasn't aware that she was also responsible for the song at the end credits, "Gravity", and the song that played during the girls club scene, "Undertow". I just knew I had to find that soundtrack. Lucky for me, all the songs I wanted to play over and over in my car were all on the same CD, Careful Confessions, which I found on Amazon after a couple of hours of web-hunting. Unluckily, Amazon did not have any available, but a couple more hours of web searching, and soon there I was, at sarabmusic.com, adding Careful Confessions to my album collection. And worth every penny, and then some, of hte $10 bucks it cost me. The three previously named tracks are a few of my faves off the CD, but it was "One Sweet Love", "City", and "My Love" that really played on my heartstrings. Her soulful sound puts her in league with Joss Stone and Norah Jones, and her reflective lyrics show off her profound uniqueness not unlike the very distictive Sarah McLachlan. Needless to say, I love this album. Fans of Norah, Sarah, Joss, Alana Davis, Fiona Apple, and the like are sure to love this album just as much as I do. And please, Sara B, if you ever read this, please...BRING ON THE NEXT ALBUM!!!
Great Find March 3, 2006 Michelle N. Scott 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I recently found this artist after watching the movie Girl Play. I am sorry it took so long for me to hear her sing but boy am I glad that I found her. You can order her CD directly from her own site at sarabmusic.com. She has signed with a record company and will be releasing a new album soon. Can't wait.
