Amazon.com If Natasha Bedingfield's first two singles, feisty R&B anthem "Single" and chart-topper "These Words", suggested she's more than just Daniel's little sister, her debut album, Unwritten, is the confirmation. Better still, it proves she's a genuine pop star in the making with a staggering tally of potential hits. Aided and abetted by some of music's biggest hit makers, including Robbie Williams's former writing partner Guy Chambers, she reveals the true size of her ambition and potential, squaring up to every female chart icon going. The party hard electro-rock of "I'm A Bomb", the irrepressible optimism of the title track's chorus and "Drop Me In The Middle"'s slinky R&B strut, respectively have her taking on Pink, Nelly Furtado and Beyonce and showing that she's a worthy contender. Add the slamming Gwen Stefani attitude of "If You're Gonna" with its boybaiting hook of "I'm looking for a guard dog not buying a Chihuahua" and the image of an independent, smart talking bombshell who's no one's pushover is complete. And Unwritten is her flawless statement of intent. --Dan Gennoe
Album Description UK edition of her debut album features 12-tracks, including a bonus UK/US only track, 'Size Matters' along with a hidden 13th track, 'Sojourn'. This UK/International pressing also features two tracks that were dropped from the 2005 US version, 'I'm a Bomb' and 'Frogs and Princess'. In addition the import pressing features the two original versions of 'These Words' and 'Unwritten' which were remixed for the US version and thus exclusive to this pressing. The import version also features different artwork.22-year-old Natasha Bedingfield (younger sister of Daniel Bedingfield) has a voice to melt radios & a decade long passion for writing & singing. Her debut album Unwritten draws on a range of experiences & passions personal to her - from battling through the dating game ('Frogs & Princes'), & dealing with the trust issues of falling in love ('I Bruise Easily') to learning how to carpe diem ('If You're Gonna Jump') & develop the confidence to take life & own it ('Unwritten'). Told from the viewpoint of a young woman with her head firmly screwed on, Unwritten is fuelled by lyrical sass & real-life suss throughout. Musically the album is inspired by a wide range of influences & styles, from the glam rock of 'Silent Movie' through the muscular funk of 'Single' to the orchestral majesty of 'Wild Horses'. The result is an album packed with winning songs & no irrelevant fillers. BMG. 2004..

Collective Debut August 31, 2008 William m Coles (BALTIMORE, MARYLAND United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Natasha definately has destinctive vocals and makes an impressive debut. I did not hear this offering before hearing her latest entitled Pocketful Of Sunshinez(2008) which is a solid improvement(5 stars). But when you are working from a four star rating(Unwritten) you don't have that much to improve; she proves this with her first two releases. Unwritten is a very thoughtproking song. I especially like her writing ability; althought, they are generally written collaborably, the songs sound like something she would say and that makes listening to her more believable.

"I gotta find your heart to shoot my arrow through..." June 21, 2008 ADRIENNE MILLER (TENNESSEE) Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield is one fun and charming debut album from this beautiful singer/songwriter. These Words (I Love You, I Love You) was her breakthough hit, still sounds great three years later. Single and Unwritten are also outstanding tracks as well. Some of my favorite songs on this album include: Slient Movie, I Bruise Easily, The One That Got Away, Stumble, If You're Gonna, Wild Horses, and the hidden track, Sojourn. Bedingfield's voice is soulful, lively, and quite impressive. This gal can definitely sang!! There were some great albums released in 2005, and this one is no exception. I highly recommend this gem and her sophomore album, enjoy!
biggest album of 2005 YET!!! May 5, 2008 agent 007 (Farmington, AR USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just received Natasha's newest CD, when all of a sudden I saw her debut vid off of this. As a matter of fact, that vid is also her debut album's name: Unwritten. The tracks from 1-13 are so seclusive, but 5 of them from both are my favorite tracks off of both thus far, and I'm rating them as this month goes on. They are: 5. Who Knows- 9.4/10, a pretty breezy track 4. These Words(I Love You, I Love You)- a perfect 10, THAT'S THE VID I SAW! 3. I Bruise Easily- 9.8/10, 2nd vid for the album 2. Pocketful of Sunshine- a perfect 10, my favorite song off of the new album 1. Unwritten- also a perfect 10, but also my favorite off the debut I guess everyone's awaiting Natasha's new vid for Pocketful of Sunshine, and I know I am. The songs she wrote are all that romantic, as is her voice. This girl's my #1 artist of all time! No one knew about track #13 which is a cover of Wild Horses though.
