This CD was better then I thought it would be! I heard of this CD but it is a great buy for anyone into rock music!! It has a great blend of soft rock with hard rock in almost like a story through out the CD. Great CD Alter Bridge!! I STRONGLY encourage any rock fan to buy this.
Creed grows upJuly 8, 2008 B. Miller(New York) Good heavy rock sound just as the old Creed albumns had. The differences in my opinion are added sophistication in the volcals and the guitar playing. This guy can sing... great power, great range, though a bit comercial sounding (think young Sammy Hagar but better range). The guitar playing, while always good is better with lots of power and plenty of impressive leads. If you were into Creed, you'd be into this.
Bridging the gapApril 28, 2008 cyndeelouwho(pine barrens of jersey) I am not a passonate music fan. I don't listen to just one thing. Somedays I will play Mozart in the car and other days I will rock out to Country. I was a very unlikely fan of Creed. I reluctantly went to a CREED show with some friends and was moved by the adoration of their fans. I then bought the CD and loved it. Then they broke up. Nothing since Creed gave me the chills until AlterBridge. At first I wasn't that crazy about the singer on the cd because I was expecting the low baratone sound of Creed, until I saw them live. WOW! I have a real appreciation for the band. I especially love the bass lines. The cd is great but a live show is AWESOME!

I mainly got it for Metalingus, because I'm a huge wrestling fan, and that is Edge's entrance theme. But the rest of the album is not as hard core as Metalingus, but it is still wickedly sweet.

This is an incredible rock album; Shed my skin and Metalingus are aural perfection. I won't lie and say I was a fan of Creed; I enjoyed the music when I heard it but never went out of my way to spend money on it - the musical arrangements were great but the vocals never captured my attention long enough. That can't be said of Myles Kennedy. I am in awe everytime I hear him sing. The passion and musicianship in Alter Bridge is inspiring and worth a listen. Buy this, you won't regret it.
