Amazon.com Sandra Boynton's Rhinoceros Tap is a loopy good time--delicate piano ballads swoon over unloved peas all alone on a plate ("O Lonely Peas") and the pink-nosed object of a lovesick mouse's affection ("I Love You More Than Cheese"); a penful of pigs dig into a doo-wop celebration of their "fabulous swine" selves ("Perfect Piggies"); and a Dylan-esque dog bids his pack adieu with the mournful line, "It's sad but true/I'm 6 years old, but I feel 42" ("So Long, Doggies"). Best of all, skeptics who guessed that Boynton's first CD, the star-studded wacko revue "Philadelphia Chickens," succeeded so brilliantly because she had an army of celebrities behind her are dutybound to shush. There is but one singer here, the pleasantly even-keeled Adam Bryant, and though he lends these 15 numbers a likability that may not have translated without him, it is Boynton's crackpot wit, as well as the winning arrangements she pieced together with musical partner Michael Ford, that de! serves full credit for the way the songs winnow themselves into listeners' brains, be they 3 or 34. --Tammy La Gorce

Really Great CD!! February 13, 2008 ReaderGirl I am a 15-year-old girl, and I love Sandra Boynton's music. It's neat to be listening to a song and look it up on the back and recognize the person who is singing it (example, Kate Winslet co-sings a song on another album). These songs have great rhythm and words, and are great for toddlers...and I guess teens, too!
Even my 8 year old loves it! May 12, 2007 Diane Plaster (Los Angeles, CA) As a preschool music teacher, I often use books that are music related, or at least singable. We've enjoyed Barnyard Dance with both my boys, a toddler and a 3rd grader, and I've wanted to use it in my classes. Almost all the other tracks are so enjoyable, even for me. My boys' favorite is "Tickle Time". My toddler loves to chant "tickle, tickle, tickle" whenever he's playing. I appreciate that there's enough grownup humor to keep me interested and not bored. I highly recommend this CD.

I just love these CDs by Sandra Boynton. This was the second one we got. These are loaded with fun songs you can sing along with. You have to listen to them a couple of times to get hooked on the songs. Once you can sing along you will find yourself listening when the kids are not around.
So much fun. . . November 21, 2005 abyt42 (Grass Valley, CA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I like this even better than Philadelphia Chickens-- there are fewer songs on this CD that I skip. (Only 1, 'Bad Babies," and mostly because I don't want my 3 year olds to say "bad Babies" in public. . . .) The "Dinosaur Round" could drive one nuts (if played as frequently as my kids would like it) if one didn't like to stomp around like an idiot (or a dinosaur). Personally, I love it. My husband, on the other hand, is about "dinosaured" out.
