| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com As a veteran of Alison Krauss & Union Station and the Lonesome River Band (not to mention countless country and bluegrass recording sessions), Dan Tyminski had certainly paid his dues before his spot on the O Brother soundtrack brought him worldwide acclaim. The erstwhile Soggy Bottom Boy frontman issued his solo debut a few months before the soundtrack hit, and it features a wide and impressive range of current and former bandmates (including Krauss on a pair of tracks) plus several other A-list instrumentalists. The result is a deftly executed survey of the bluegrass table circa 2000, a menu that includes melodic pop, rousing gospel, hard-driving instrumentals, new compositions in a traditional style, and revived old favorites. --Marc Greilsamer

I really enjoyed this cd but....... July 22, 2008 Don (Washington) This is a GREAT cd as far as the music is concerned. Why isn't there more to it? With cds being able to hold up to 80 minutes of music, it should be criminal for the record labels to issue cds that clock in at a little over 33 minutes. Shouldn't be too hard for them to figure out why their sales are so low and the number of people downloading songs is so high.
Dan Tyminski delivers September 20, 2007 K. Ansgariusson (Sweden) I have been a fan of Dan Tyminski for a couple of years now and I had looked forward to his solo album. Of course he makes nobody regret a purchase. The album exudes a love for bluegrass with every stroke on the string instruments. Personally I adore the sound of Tyminskis voice and it is really tried and tested on this album. Of course, he excels. My favorite tracks are "Carry Me Across the Mountain", "I Dreamed of An Old Love Affair" and "Think About You Every Day". The only reason I give it a 4 and not a 5 is that I would have hoped for some truly surprising choice of music.
Dan assembeled a great group of bluegrass musicians! July 29, 2007 Cheryl L. Mathews 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Jim Mills, Tony Rice, Allison Krauss and more make this a must for anyone likes bluegrass from any of the above musicians.
Dan Tyminski July 4, 2007 Elliott S. Rubin (Tempe, Arizona United States) Fantastic album. Dan shines alone with his own album. If you like bluegrass, you eill like this album.

I love it and give it 5+ stars and all I've heard are the samples. I'm going straight up this page and putting it in my shopping cart. Can't wait to get it. And now I'm going to listen to some more of his albums. Just might buy them too.
