Amazon.com With magnetic rhythms, cool grooves, and catchy hooks, the Mexican rock band Mana have conquered fans on both sides of the border. From the wickedly cool opener "Hechicera" to the pulsating "Un Lobo por Tu Amor," the tunes are easy to get into, regardless of whether you know Spanish or not. There's plenty of fun, too, on the rollicking "Tu Tienes Lo Que Quiero" and the zany "Clavado en un Bar," which became the tour anthem during the band's 1998 tour. Also bewitching are the romantic "En el Muelle de San Blas" and the achy love ode "Como Dueles en los Labios." The band is also daring, remembering political prisoners around the world on "Me Voy a Convertir en un Ave." --Ramiro Burr

Great Album September 15, 2008 Jane Smith (killeen, tx United States) There is nothing bad about this album. It includes the relaxing "En el Muelle de San Blas" and the darker "Hechicera", both of which are simply wonderful. While I am not fluent enough in Spanish to grasp the original intent and meaning behind the lyrics, it is possible to understand enough to get the point of the song and enjoy it. And even if you dont know a word of spanish, the music is enough to relax you and stick in your head. Yet another sweet album by these Grammy winners.
Absolutely Completely Awesome, but... March 16, 2008 Carla S. Spadafora (Sioux City, Iowa, USA) Mana is absolutely the best, of course, and of all their albums this is my favorite. Every single one of the songs is worth it but I wanted to address an issue that surprised me a little, something that nobody seems to have encountered: At the end of the entire CD, on the track of "Amame hasta que me muera" there is a short pause, after which you can hear these almost satanic-like sounds, which makes me think of all those times you hear about cd's having "satanic" bits in them or if you play them backwards or something like that, and then these horrifying growling words (I speak both spanish and english fluently and could not recognize any of them) that sent goosebumps all over my body! I just want to know what the heck this is all about!
not there best not there worst either December 23, 2007 Well it's like this... (New York City) If your a fan of Mana get it, if your new to them I suggust you listen to some of there others before getting this one.

This Album Is For Everyone September 12, 2004 Rudy (Arizona, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's been almost seven years since Mana released this album, but I still think it's a great album. This band, in my opinion, has been the most successful Spanish rock band. They have tons of hits and every single one of their albums is a monster album with many hits. Mana also talk about many different kinds of things in their songs. From this album, we get hits like "Hechicera" and "Clavado En Un Bar", but probably the classic song in this album is "En El Muelle De San Blas", which is a very touching sad song. I honestly cannot say that I have a favorite song from this album because every single song is special in its own way. "Chaman", for example, has a very nice message in the chorus: "jamas dejes de amar...el amor es todo", which means "never stop loving...love is everything." "Como Dueles En Los Labios" is another touching slow song in this album with great lyrics. "Me Voy A Convertir En Un Ave" is a very sad song that talks about a man that is unjustly in jail for a crime that he did not commit. "Un Lobo Por Tu Amor", "Tu Tienes Lo Que Quiero", and "Robame El Alma" have a more uptempo sound. All in all, this is a great album. Basically all the songs are great. I don't have to say this because there is no bad song from Mana that I know of. Anyway, this album is for everyone. Mana is for everyone. They have songs and messages for everyone. This is totally a band that will remain as a very important one in the history of Spanish rock.
