2 out of 5 stars Not so good one.   April 20, 2002

I don't think this song is as much good as songs like "The flowers of Guatemala", "Fall on me", "Orange crush", etc. There is no good melody in it.

One of the only R.E.M. songs I actually like besides "Stand". Anyways this is truely a beautiful and breathtaking song. A genuine peice of work. I know a song is good when it posesses the power to make you cry, well that was also with the help of the video... Anywho. Its a GREAT song, but not everyone likes everything so you may hate it!! Though I love it, but I urge you to take a listen, listen to it at least three times and if it doesn't grow on you then, well I pity you!!(I suggest buying this single great buy!!)

God Bless ~Amy

5 out of 5 stars R.E.M.'s Biggest Hit   May 16, 2001

"Losing My Religion" is R.E.M.'s biggest hit, peaking at number 4 in 1991. Despite its high chart status, the song is not your typical top 40 hit. The song is driven by Peter Buck's twangy mandolin and Michael Stipe's introspective lyrics. The song is a true testament to R.E.M.'s ability to reach mass audiences while maintaining their credibility. "Shiny Happy People" was also a top ten hit and while many hardcore R.E.M. fans are dismissive of it, the song has a fun, bouncy quality that shows the band has an ability to cut loose and have some fun.
