Live George Is The Best George March 21, 2007 The Bluze Brother (Sweet Home Shy Town) George is at his best when he is live in my opinion. All the songs on the cd I have some where else but NOT LIVE. I get off on live George. He just makes the house rock. I crank it up until the walls shake, the windows rattle, the tweeters and woofers are going nuts and then just sit back and enjoy George and the Delaware Destroyer...nothing pretentious here. George gives his band due credit and they all rock and rock and rock. After a session with George my adrenaline is up but I am wore out. In this compilation he did a few live songs that I had never heard live - Night Time, Don't Let The Bossman Get You Down, Greedy Man, The Fixer, and That's It I Quit. His classics Who Do You Love, I Drink Alone, 1 Bourbon, 1 Scotch, 1 Beer and Rockin My Live Away are fantastic but what gassed me was his live version of The Sky Is Crying (man Elmore James, Hound Dog Taylor and Jimmy Reed would be proud of him). Go buy it and see what happens to you. Betcha the same thing.
"And away we go!" October 12, 2005 B-Grade Fan (Illinois) Thirty years of Destroyers rock 'n' roll is featured on one of the best live discs George has released (behind "Let's Work Together"). The track listing is routine stuff by now but the production is excellent and the performance is tight. Much better than "Live in '99". If you're a Destroyers fan this is the live CD you'll be playing, if you're new to Thorogood this is a great introduction and a document of one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands in history.
Track Listing October 12, 2005 David Maddocks (Western Australia) Another great live CD. If you have got the previous live CD's you will know exactly what to expect just with better production values. My gripe is with the track listing. I live in Australia and could have bought the CD locally however the listing on Amazon had the additional tracks; Haircut, Gear Jammer, Move It On Over and You talk to much. Much to my dissapointment these tracks are NOT on the CD I received. Still a great CD but if the above tracks are your reason for buying it I would check first.
Always welcome March 5, 2005 Christopher Bushman (Portland, OR USA) So, you need another GT live album like you need a hole in the head? Me too, but you really can't lose with these. They are all pretty interchangeable and all pretty stellar. Whenever and wherever the Delaware Destroyers take the stage, they are the kings of rock and roll. In addition, the used price is certainly right, turn it up!
