Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Three CD set of Moe's album, Vol. 6-Warts & All! On January 28th, 2007, Moe. played at the Liberty Hall in Lawrence, KS. This recording is a snapshot of where these musicians were on a given night of their musical evolution an evolution that continues to occur throughout every song, in every beat and between every live music fan in attendance. While nothing quite captures the vibe of a Moe. concert like being there in person, this is the next best thing. Listening to Warts & All, Volume 6, one catches a glimpse of the contagious energy that has made this band one of the top concert draws in the country. As an extra bonus the cover illustration is done by Moe. guitarist Chuck Garvey. Moe. is known for their intricate studio work. The 2008 addition to Moe's ever-expanding discography, continues the band's series of complete, unedited, unexpurgated live shows. The reality of a live performance in its entirety is hard to deny - there is no chance to hide behind studio polish or lavish production. Just five guys interacting with each other and the audience, showing their dedication to a simple notion about music. The homespun nature of these discs, recorded simply through Live Audio Engineer Steve Young's mixing board and effects, invites the listener to participate with Al Schnier and Chuck Garvey's entwining guitars as they dart within the myriad grooves and driving tempo of bassist Rob Derhak, drummer Vinnie Amico and percussionist Jim Loughlin. This set of material blasts through a cross-section of moe.'s interests: improvising flights within songs constructed of equal parts dedication and irreverence. Country, Ska, Pop and Heavy Jazz all find their place among the music played in one show.

4 out of 5 stars Good Show   August 6, 2008

Very good show, but not as good as volume 5. However a must have for any serious moe. fan.

5 out of 5 stars Best of Kansas?!?!   July 17, 2008

Another wonderful offering from the guys from moe.zambique. There was a quite a lot of song duplication in previous releases of the Wart & All series... this one has far more different tunes than the other ones. If you are a fan of moe. and enjoy live shows in their entirety like the Dead's "From the Vault" series these discs are waiting for your credit card information to complete your purchase. Oh,....and the album cover I received has the same frog image, but the background is not black. The cover looks like the Best of Kansas album cover except its a Winnebago and not a sailing ship going over the edge.

5 out of 5 stars WoW! what a show   July 7, 2008

I am a Deadhead rather than a true blue Moe.ron, but I have been listening to Moe. for a little over a year now. Volume 6 is the second Warts and All box set that I have (Volume 2 was the first). I loved it from the first listen, which is not typical for me. The jamming was beautiful and seamless. Highly recommended. No reservations.

5 out of 5 stars Moe jams, great live show. Instant Classic.   May 29, 2008

Been a Moe fan for a while, some shows have more jam power then others. This one is 100% on, the music is tight and crisp. The sound quality is great, really sounds good. This one will deliver, keep jamming America.
