Tab classic June 8, 2007 Tammy Goen If you like Tab, you'll love this disc. As usual, a good mixture of ballad and songs that make you want to dance.
What I Live For by a blues fan from BARCELONA April 2, 2007 Jose Maria Domenech Fedi While waiting to watch the film JURASIC PARK III on TV, I began listening to TAB BENOIT's "What I Live For", that I had just bought. When listening to the first theme, "Blues come walkin' in", I guessed I was on the point of finding out a great record andso I did. What a grand record! Song after song I was impressed: the classical "Who's been talkin'" (of which Robert Cray has a magnificent version in the LP with the same name), the slow Blues "Cross the line", the funky "Time and time again", the slow"Cherry tree Blues", the acoustic "Somehow", the drag "She's my number one" and so on. This record is a must for all the people in love with the Blues. If you already have it, my congratulations.
Awsome March 19, 2007 Ron Smith (Reno, NV United States) This is one of the great Cajon Blues Artists! Do not miss the chance to get this! It is simply awsome!
What can I say? March 18, 2006 angelbug (California) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've been a fan of Tab's since Nice and Warm was released, and have all his albums. If you can only buy ONE of Tab's cds - well, I feel sorry for you, but - this wouldn't be a bad choice. Time and Time Again has some of the tastiest drums ever recorded, and Too Many Drivers at the Wheel is just plain fun. Tab's voice is as phenomenal as his playing, and both are in extra-fine form on this album.
'Mesmerizing' April 8, 2005 Blues Fanatic (Kingsport, TN) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this CD a few months ago, and absolutely loved it. Then, recently I had the pleasure of seeing a live performance by Tab. What a phenomenal artist. I loved his music before, but after seeing the high energy performance this gorgeous man put on, I have become absolutely mesmerized by all of his music. The last track 'What I Live For' is a song that I could listen to over and over. He is one of the finest guitarists I've had the pleasure of hearing, but his vocals are just beyond belief. After this CD, I went from fan to fanatic!!
