Ok for the most part March 6, 2008 Jay (Tacoma, WA United States) I love Fiedler and the Boston Pops. Used to watch him on PBS all the time. So I thought I was prepared for a symphonic version of the marches. For the most part they are pretty good. However, I was completely disappointed with the Colonel Bogey march. They did a take off of the Bridge on the River Kwai theme instead of doing a march. I hardly recognized the music. I think that the Colonel Bogey march was the number one march of any major Marine base that I was stationed at, and that many a Marine has marched to it. When a marching band is playing it, and you're marching to it - it has a life and quality all it's own. On this CD it came through as a juvenile troupe's garage session.
Stars & Stripes Forever & the Greatest Marches December 24, 2007 Ray Burgess (California) The music in this CD fades in and out where you can not hear it. I feel it is in the recording.
My kids love this music August 1, 2007 alexacsi (Grantville, pa) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Put this music in and you can have your kids marching around the house in no time...what a blast!
Album matches content hype May 31, 2007 Nelson Conti I intially bought this album for a few selections I had heard from Classical 102.1 (KDFC-FM). I was pleasantly surprised that the entire album has a very satisfying collection of the greatest marches. I am very pleased with this album, and would recommend it for anyone who likes a broad range of famous marches.

This CD would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys marches. Some of the marches are popular, others are not. All are well-performed and can be enjoyed - LOUDLY!
