Don't have the magic of the old ones but very nice... September 24, 2008 Manuel PR Doesn't have the magic of the old music composed and conduce by John Williams but I like it very much because it's something different out of the ordinary of Star Wars. A new refreshed music!!!
The Force of Music September 13, 2008 Soundtrackman (Delaware) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Kevin Kiner has created powerful new themes for this movie, and his use of percussion, especially drums, instantly takes you into another world where good faces evil. I am always in search of music that touches your heart, but that can be listened to after the movie to let your imagination soar. This music does just that with its rhythms, themes, and emotional impact. He creates more of an alien feel with some of his orchastrations, and in track 11, B'omarr Monastery, monks can be heard in the background. For me, music is half of a movie, and this music enhanses this movie beautifully and stands alone as well. Enjoy!
Different, but great! September 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a big fan of John Williams, and when I heard this, I knew I would be in for a few surprises. They were great surprises! Although this is different from what Star Wars fans have heard before, there are still traces of the original scores in this music, along with a few new surprises! I love this soundtrack, and reccommend it to other Star Wars fans!
A Twist on a Star Wars Soundtrack September 6, 2008 Daniel Diaz (CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found the Clone Wars Soundtrack to be a refreshing twist to an iconic storyline. I love John Williams, but this soundtrack was fun and fit the style of the movie and the upcoming series. If you are true fan of Star Wars, (like me, a 45 year old former Green Beret/Geek), then this is one you need to add to your collections. Trust me, it is a good score. John williams would be proud August 26, 2008 Trevor Merris (Carmicheal, CA USA) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Kevin Kiner really did well in the shoes of John Williams. Taking Johns classic tracks and adding modern touches and melodies made for an amazing new Star Wars Sound!
