Album Description J. Holiday is 22 years old from Washington DC, and is also the only new artist this year in America to debut at No.1 in the prestigious chart with his hot new single ''Bed''. "Bed" is the lead track taken from his forthcoming album ''Back Of My Lac'', which debuted in the US at No. 5. It was written by The Dream (credit: Rihanna's "Umbrella") and was produced by Los Da Mystro (aka Carlos 'L.O.S.' McKinney, whose credits include Faith, Chris Brown, Whitney Houston, Usher). J's talents as a singer and songwriter and the autobiographic flavour of his tunes found sympathetic support from the producers on Back Of My Lac', who include hitmaker Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, McKinney, and Music Line's Ciara and Teairra Mari. He is influenced by the likes of R Kelly, Boyz II Men and Jodeci; J Holiday is taking R&B back to its roots and putting soul back into the bedroom. And with the silky smooth and sexy video for 'Bed' directed by R&B and Hip Hop supremo Jonathan Mannion, (Busta Rhymes, The Game, Shaggy), there is no holding back.

J. Holiday Review October 18, 2007 Bryan Carson (Dumfries, Va) These days It's hard to know when you are about to make a sound investment when purchasing music. Usually the way I go about doing this is by judging four or more tracks on the album. If I'm not satisfied with at least four songs, the album is not purchased. Fortunately the new J. Holiday album was preceeded by a sample album that included three "up and coming" songs as well as his new "Bed" song. Surprisingly I was in love with ALL the tracks. I thought they were well composed and a fine addition to my R&B collection. The new J.Holiday "Bed" album is with out a doubt, Good Music!
Expect Great Things September 2, 2007 Malcolm Joseph (Boston, MA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Reminiscent of classic R. Kelly mixed with the pop-appeal and sizzling vocals of Usher and the like, I, you, and we should expect great things from J. Holiday. The single Bed sets things off quite right by swooning you with his vocals. Not to mention the production of this track is crisp. In my mind, "Bed" flows like Ciara's ode to Grindtime-R&B "Promise". And just like "Promise" the chorus will be stuck in your head...head...head.
